Ron Watson is a Principal at Lewis & Clark Ventures. He manages all stages of the investment process, from identification and investment to portfolio management and exit. Ron leads deal-sourcing and relationship-building efforts across the Midwest, with a current focus on Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and Texas. He is on the Board at Beam Dental, and serves as a board observer at four other LACV portfolio companies: Blue Medora, Datica, Springbuk and Territory.


Previously, Ron spent seven years with the management consulting firm A.T. Kearney, where he led projects focused on strategy, sales force effectiveness, M&A, and supply chain for over a dozen Fortune 500 clients. Ron also led the growth strategy for the Tobin Project, a non-profit research organization dedicated to mobilizing and supporting scholars across the social sciences to deepen understanding of significant challenges facing the nation.


Ron holds a B.S. from Indiana University in Finance and Accounting, a M.A. in International Economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
